Established in 2016 in Downtown Fredericton, Graystone is a craft brewery with a taste for adventure and a focus on quality beer and unique experiences.
Behind the scenes, we’re a team of highly creative and driven people who are dedicated to making a great product for our community. At Graystone, part of our mission is to instill our spirit of adventure into all we do and inspire those who enjoy our products to do the same.
Since the beginning, that sense of adventure has remained top of mind and continues to forge our path forward. Our brand revolves around a sense of natural wonder and new experiences and strives to craft that feeling for our customers through both our product line and our location.
Our Founder
The idea to open a brewery came to Wes Ward nearly 20 years ago while hiking in the Patagonia region of Argentina. Inspired by his surroundings, Wes envisioned details like stone tap handles and beer titles that called to mind a sense of adventure.
In 2014, after years of working in the bar industry and world travel, Wes started focusing on his craft brewery. He enlisted the help of three local homebrewers to develop recipes in his garage. Two years later, he opened the doors to Graystone Brewing. Staying true to the experience that inspired it all, Graystone Brewing has revolved around Wes’ love of travel and adventure. Wes is always looking to create an opportunity to experience something new.
